Applying for Keys

When you find a game you'd like to cover, you can apply for a key through the game's creator program.

Before You Apply

Make sure you have:

How to Apply

  1. Navigate to Browse Games in the sidebar
  2. Click Apply for Key on the game card
  3. GSHub will automatically check your eligibility against the program's requirements (subscriber count, average views, reliability score, linked platforms)
  4. If you don't meet the requirements, the specific reasons are shown and you won't be able to apply
  5. If eligible, fill out the application form:
    • Why do you want this key? — Explain why you want to cover this game (only shown if the developer has enabled this field)
    • Planned content (optional) — Describe the type of content you plan to create (e.g., "Review video", "Let's Play series")
  6. Click Submit Application
tip

Be specific about your planned content. Developers are more likely to approve applications that clearly describe what content will be created and on which platform.

What Happens Next

After submitting your application:

  1. The developer is notified of your application
  2. They review your profile, platform stats, and planned content
  3. They can approve or reject your application
  4. You'll receive an email notification when a decision is made
info

You can only have one active application per program. If you already have a pending, approved, or rejected application for a program, you won't be able to submit another one.

Application Tips

  • Be specific — "20-minute gameplay review with commentary on YouTube" is better than "I'll make a video"
  • Show your fit — Mention if you regularly cover similar genres
  • Keep your profile updated — Developers review your linked platforms and stats
  • Apply to relevant programs — Focus on games that match your content niche
