Creator FAQ
Quick answers to common questions about the GSHub Creator Portal.
Getting Started
What is the Creator Portal?
The Creator Portal is a platform where content creators (streamers, YouTubers, reviewers, and social media creators) can discover games, apply for free game keys, and submit their content coverage to game developers.
Is the Creator Portal free to use?
Yes! The Creator Portal is completely free for content creators. There are no fees to sign up, browse games, or apply for keys.
How do I sign up?
Visit creator.gamestudiohub.app and click Sign In. You'll be redirected to the login page where you can create an account or sign in. After signing in, set up your creator profile and link your platforms.
Applications
How do I apply for a game key?
Go to Browse Games in the sidebar, find a game with an active creator program, and click Apply for Key. GSHub will check your eligibility, and if you qualify, you can fill out the application form. See Applying for Keys for full details.
How long does it take to hear back on my application?
Response times vary by developer. Some review applications within hours, while others may take days or weeks. You'll receive an email notification when a decision is made.
Can I apply to multiple programs at once?
Yes! You can apply to as many creator programs as you like. Each application is reviewed independently by the respective game developer.
What if my application is rejected?
The rejection reason (if provided by the developer) is shown on your application. You can only have one application per program, so consider improving your profile and linking more platforms for future programs. Check the eligibility requirements for tips.
Can I withdraw an application?
Yes. Go to My Applications, find the pending application, and click Withdraw. You'll be asked to confirm. Note that withdrawing cannot be undone.
Keys & Content
How do I get my game key after approval?
Once approved, go to My Applications, find the approved application, and click Reveal Key. Copy the key and redeem it on the game's platform (e.g., Steam). See Revealing Game Keys.
What if no key is available after approval?
Sometimes developers run out of keys. Your application is still approved, and you may receive a key when the developer adds more to their pool.
How do I submit my content?
After creating your content, go to your approved application and click Submit Content. Provide the content URL, platform, type, and any additional details. See Submitting Content.
Do I have to submit content after receiving a key?
While not technically mandatory, receiving a key and not submitting content will negatively impact your reliability score, making it harder to get approved for future programs.
Do I need to disclose that I received a free key?
Yes. Many countries (including the US via FTC guidelines) require that you disclose when you've received a product for free. Always mention in your content that the key was provided by the developer.
Profile & Account
How do I edit my profile?
Click Profile in the sidebar, then click Edit Profile to update your display name, bio, language, and country. You can also link or unlink social accounts from this page. See Profile Management.
What is the reliability score?
Your reliability score (0–100) reflects how consistently you submit content after receiving game keys. A higher score means developers trust you more. See Reliability Score.
How do I get verified?
Verification is managed by the GSHub team and is based on profile completeness, active social accounts, content history, and reliability score. See Verification Status.
