Traffic Source Overview
GSHub categorizes how visitors find your landing pages:
- Direct - Typed URL or bookmark
- Referral - Link from another website
- Social - Social media platforms
- Search - Organic search engines
- Campaign - UTM-tagged links
Referral Traffic
See which websites are linking to your pages:
- Gaming news sites
- Review websites
- Forums and communities
- Steam store pages
- Creator channels (YouTube, Twitch)
Identify which referral sources convert best. Focus your outreach efforts on sites that drive quality traffic.
Social Media Traffic
Breakdown by platform:
- Twitter/X - Tweet links, profile bio
- Reddit - Posts, comments, ads
- Facebook - Page posts, ads
- LinkedIn - Posts, articles
- Instagram - Bio links, stories
- TikTok - Bio links
- Pinterest - Pins, boards
- Snapchat - Stories, shares
Traffic from platforms not in this list (e.g., Discord, YouTube) is categorized as Referral traffic.
UTM Parameters
Use UTM parameters via campaigns to track specific marketing efforts:

UTM Parameters Explained
- utm_source - Where traffic comes from (twitter, newsletter)
- utm_medium - Marketing medium (social, email, cpc)
- utm_campaign - Specific campaign name
- utm_content - Differentiate similar content
- utm_term - Paid search keywords

Traffic Quality Indicators
Not all traffic is equal. Look at quality metrics:
- Bounce rate - Left without interacting
- Session duration - Engagement level
- Conversion rate - Did they take action?
Best Practices
- Always use campaign links for paid promotions
- Create unique campaign links for different social posts
- Review traffic quality, not just quantity
- Compare conversion rates across sources
